Maryland World Horse Expo
01/22/2014
We had a really great weekend in Maryland at the World Horse Expo. Everyone we met was very nice, and we picked up some great new customers. Maryland terrain is very hilly and in some places very mucky. The new Super Scoopers that recently arrived have an adjustable blade height, so we really are looking forward to feedback from our newest customers. The new units also have dual draw bars, so there is no switching of the bar from end to end. A great improvement.
Thank you Maryland, we really enjoyed the expo. Our pull behind manure collector was very well received.

How Super Scooper US began
11/09/2013
Hello friends.
I have been around horses most of my life and was an active rider and sometimes active caregiver when growing up. Once married and raising kids, horses just became an occasional trail ride or visit to a friends farm.
Then came Lauren. Lauren is my son Nate's girlfriend and a real bundle of activity. She is a horse gal deep down. Lauren had a strong bond with a Percheron named Bruiser. When it became known that the pastures where Lauren kept Bruiser were being closed out, she turned to us to see if we could help.
You see - we own a big red barn, with 5 stalls and three pastures. Lauren thought they looked lonely.
So after a little discussion, replacing a lot of rotted out wooden fence, and installing some new gates we brought Bruiser home - oh yes - and Turbo and Morgan. It's like a good potato chip - you can't have just one!! Turbo is a Thoroughbred who has a great sense of humor - and opens doors. Morgan is a Morgan who is only 14 hands high but thinks he is or was the Alpha.
And you know - they sure brightened up the place. It was great to see them running around enjoying the property. And the property looked better with them here.
Then a big issue arose - our pastures are not that big, and we knew we would be supplementing with hay and grain. I was also prepared to have a sacrifice pasture that would take the brunt of the horses. What we weren't prepared for was the amount of manure that our hayburners were creating. Lauren and Nate shoveled and forked piles of manure. I have a bad back, and wanted to prevent them from having one in the future, so I started looking for options. There were quite a few expensive solutions if you wanted to spend $5,000 to $10,000 for it. I needed something a little more reasonable.
That's when I ran across an Australian TV show on YouTube. The show was an invention contest, and the winner was Mark Bridgman who invented the Super Scooper. Mark had embarked upon the same quest as I had, only he his resolution was to invent the tool for the job. I tried to buy one, but they were not available in the US. So after much discussion, viewing a lot of videos from Australia and the New Zealand (they sell well in both countries) Mark and I came to an agreement that I could import his product into the US.
The first shipment is due to arrive mid-December. We are really excited about this product and believe it will help solve not only our problem, but many others too.
